UNC and High School Students please join us at 7:15 pm on Mondays at the 1789 Venture Lab, 173 1/2 E. Franklin Street (right next to Ye' Olde Waffle) for our weekly committee meetings! Join with our Outreach, Garden, or Nutrition committees to help us get stuff done. All newcomers are welcome throughout the year.
Our Outreach Committee works with local businesses, community organizations, and other partners to engage the community in education, hands-on gardening, and community building. They also head the planning for the community picnics!
Currently, we predominately export our produce to our Hope Cooks weekly cooking programs and local community organizations such as the IFC Men's Shelter and HomeStart in Chapel Hill. If you are interested in becoming a Hope Gardens produce channel, we're always looking for new partner organizations to help support! Please email us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org!
At Workdays we strive to spread knowledge about various gardening topics, from composting to the basics. Workdays are open to any community members or students interested in expanding their gardening skills. Our workdays are on Saturdays from 10 am to 12 pm (noon). Learn more here!
We're made up of Hope Cooks and other efforts to specifically promote nutrition and nutrition education in the Chapel Hill/Carrboro area.
